Moreover, it is on the rise, especially among young people today. Which smartphones for this year?
iPhone 15
Like its smaller siblings, the iPhone 15 will come in four 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Scheduled for September 2023, this smartphone has some surprises for users. Instead of the Lightning port, this one will be equipped with a USB-C port. All models will feature Dynamic Island functionality, designed to exploit the dead zone housing the front camera. A first in iPhone history, this long-awaited model will feature a periscope zoom lens allowing 5x optical zoom, enough to satisfy photography enthusiasts.
iPhone SE 4
Unlike previous models, the iPhone SE 4 will borrow the design of the iPhone XR. No more Home button, and welcome to the famous notch. However, we have yet to determine if it offers Face ID functionality. With thin and rounded edges, it will accommodate a 6.1-inch screen with an OLED panel to position itself at the level of the brand’s flagship smartphones. Its release date still needs to be determined, although we eagerly await it.
What’s New In The Mac Range
Always faithful to its image, Apple computers are distinguished from others by their thin, elegant and well-developed design, portability and power. On the Mac side, here are the planned new features:
Mac Mini
The Mac mini is the small version of Apple’s desktop computer. Powerful but discreet simultaneously, it is very practical and can even replace a laptop PC. The next model will still be as small (19.7 x 19.7 x 3.58 cm). It will be equipped with an M2 chip for the basic version or an M2 Pro chip. Design improvements are also on the program: addition of USB-C and Ethernet port, replacement of the aluminum top, and disappearance of its circular base. As expected in March 2023, the Mac mini was officially launched earlier than expected, on January 17.
Macbook Pro
Expected for the beginning of this year, M2 Pro and M2 Max chips will power the new generation of MacBook Pro 14 and 16. This modification will bring more power to these models while optimizing their performance. With a 38-core GPU and 12-core processor, the M2 Max chip is arguably the most powerful and power-efficient laptop chip on the market. Moreover, it should have a memory of 64 GB.
iMac
If the 24-inch iMac and its M1 chip have won over most brand users, what are the changes to the next model scheduled for 2023? More innovations are expected for future products after the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in the Mac Pro. The iMac Pro is slated for release later this year. However, some rumors are circulating that it would be equipped with the M3 chip: the first chip engraved in 3 nm. The new iMac has a mini-LED and ProMotion technology like the MacBook Pro.
15-Inch MacBook Air
Apple’s MacBook Air is undeniably the brand’s lightest and most compact laptop model. If the previous models had a 13.6-inch LCD screen, the new one would have a larger 15.2-inch screen. However, its design remains unchanged: thin edges and a thin profile that is still slim. Improvements will be made to the camera (1080p instead of 720p), the MagSafe charging system and the speaker system.
The New iPads
The iPads offered by the Cupertino giant will be updated with more power and performance. Two models are expected this year: the iPad Mini and the iPad Pro.
iPad Mini
The 7th generation of the iPad mini is scheduled to be released towards the end of 2023. Visually, the design remains the same, the foldable keynotes; it’s not for this year yet! Thus, Apple has bet on a tablet that is easy to use, small, and compact but gives a lot under its hood. The iPad mini 7 will have an 8.3-inch screen with ProMotion 120 Hz technology and probably an M1 or M2 chipset.
iPad Pro
The release date of the next iPad Pro has yet to be defined. However, the brand’s followers already hasten to know more about this new model. Therefore, this new Apple tablet will have a 14-inch widescreen with an OLED panel. Little information has been revealed about the latter. Will it be equipped with an M2 or M3 chip? We cannot tell! Yet what is certain is that the iPad Pro was more designed for professionals, such as graphic designers, because of its screen size.
